PAL / Diamond Pro's T-Ball

Updated Tuesday August 8, 2017 by Robert Elkins .

PAL offers the absolute best T-Ball and Developmental Baseball and Softball Programs anywhere! We can state that unequivocally since it all starts at the top and at the beginning with professional coaching that inspires proper learning of technique and fundamentals and fosters a love of the game by promoting success.

The force behind PAL'S program is the legendary Lou Santos.

PAL is honored to have the esteemed Lou Santos directing our T-Ball and developmental baseball and softball programs. Lou has nearly 50 (FIFTY) years coaching experience at all levels of the game.

His coaching career has encompassed boys and girls teams at the CYO, Connie Mack, PONY, Metro, AABA, CABA, and Babe Ruth/Cal Ripken league levels. Lou has also been the Head Coach at St. Raymond's High School and Monsignor Scanlon High School. On the college level, Lou is the all-time winningest Coach in the history of Queensborough Community College and Concordia College. While at Concordia, Lou's team won the prestigious “Big Stick Award”, given to the team with the highest batting average in the country and Lou himself was named “National Coach of the Year”. He has coached the United States Junior National Baseball Team, among others that have Major League Baseball affiliations. Lou has had a huge hand in the maturation of scores of baseball and softball players that went on to athletic scholarships and professional baseball. The list of accolades could go on forever, the most recent being recipient of the “Service to Baseball Award” granted by the Greater New York Sandlot Athletic Association.

“Coach Lou” is currently the head coach of the Molly High School JV Softball team and the best testament to his coaching prowess is the continuing admiration of 'Lou's kids', the young athletes that Lou developed into outstanding citizens. We agree with the philosophy that we are developing 'big league citizens' not necessarily big league athletes.

PAL is proud to affiliate with such a legendary figure and equally proud to share the fruit of his 'coaching tree' as we continue to provide Port Washington Youth with the best instruction imaginable from the time our young athletes start to play.
