PW PAL WINTER SPORTS

Port Washington PAL, a 70 year-old not-for-profit youth sports organization is again offering professionally run Winter Sports programs for various age and skill levels. Our programs are open to all regardless of location, ability, experience level or any other program you may be part of. At PW PAL, we simply want everyone to play as much as possible.

 

SATURDAY MORNING PROGRAMS

PW PAL SOCCER ACADEMY by DUTCH TOTAL SOCCER

SKILLS & SCRIMMAGES PROGRAM

Ages 5-7: 09:00-10:00AM / Ages 8-11: 10:00-11:00AM

DAY: Saturday starting January 11, 2020 LOCATION: Guggenheim Gym

TIME: 9 – 11 am FEE: $275

(early bird discount of $240 to January 1, 2020. Register HERE)

The program focuses on players' overall development, in addition to specific skills that are required in today’s game. DTS clinics will assist children’s development into multi-dimensional players that are comfortable in all situations on the field!

 

BASKETBALL SKILLS & SCRIMMAGES

All athletes ages 4-8

DAY: Saturday starting January 11, 2020 LOCATION: Guggenheim Gym

TIME: 11 am12 noon FEE: $225 (includes ticket and on-court experience with the Brooklyn Nets January 7, 2020. Must register by December 1st to be part of the Brooklyn Nets Experience)

 

For the new player, the ones that should be learning HOW to play without the pressure of scores and standings. 8-week developmental clinic for the emerging basketball player conducted by Boys Varsity Basketball Coach at St. John the Baptist and Nike regional camp Director Jake Ellis. Clinic follows the guidelines of USA Basketball. All players who register before December 1, 2019 will receive a ticket to the Brooklyn Nets v Oklahoma City Thunder game on January 7, 2020 as well as an on court meet and greet with the NBA players. LI LACROSSE CLUB @ PW PAL Prep Program

DAY: Saturday starting January 11, 2020 LOCATION: Guggenheim Gym

TIME: 12 pm1 pm FEE: $225

Steve Sombrotto, a member of the Lacrosse Hall of Fame and part of (arguably) the greatest American Lacrosse Family in the history of the sport, is bringing his expertise and guidance to run the program and this team. This program will teach the basic skills and fundamentals of Cradling Scooping, passing and catching in a fun, safe manner. Each session will consist of 30 minutes of instruction focusing on drills and fundamentals of lacrosse. The remaining 30 minutes will be game situations. REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: Mouth Guard, Regulation stick or “fiddle Stick”, sneakers. Protective Eyewear recommended. Register HERE

Clinic #1 DAY: Monday December 2, 9, 16 LOCATION: Daly School Gym

TIME: 12U 7-8 pm / 7-10th Grade 8-9 pm FEE: $99 (or $250 for all 3)

Clinic # 2 DAY: Wednesday January 8,15, 22 LOCATION: Daly School Gym

TIME: 12U 7-8 pm / 7-10th Grade 8-9 pm FEE: $99 (or $250 for all 3)

Clinic #3 DAY: Wednesday February 5,12, 26 LOCATION: Daly School Gym

TIME: 12U 7-8 pm / 7-10th Grade 8-9 pm FEE: $99 (or $250 for all 3)

 

A series of indoor softball clinics run by accomplished professional coaches focused on developing fundamentally sound players that want to play Travel Softball. Program designed by NYS Hall of Fame Coach Lou Santos and run by championship winning coaches Chris Zucci and Rob Elkins while supplemented by Schreiber HS Varsity players. Additional discount for any player that registers for all 3 clinics and also for Spring D-Backs. Register HERE

 

FAST-PITCH SOFTBALL PITCHING CLINIC

DAY: Wednesday starting January 8, 2020 LOCATION: Daly School Gym

TIME: 9-10 pm FEE: $150

Learn all the fundamentals of windmill pitching. We train every level pitcher from beginner to advanced. Focus on developing proper throwing mechanics, secondary pitches and mental aspects of attacking batters. Maximum 12 pitchers per session. Program designed by NYS Hall of Fame Coach Lou Santos and run by championship winning coaches Chris Zucci and Rob Elkins. Register HERE
